EU & Danish Consumer Rights

Last updated: October 1, 2026

This page summarises statutory consumer rights that apply in addition to YourGymCare's voluntary store policies. If a store policy gives you less protection than mandatory consumer law, the mandatory legal right takes priority.

14-day right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA buying online, you generally have 14 days from the day you receive the goods to tell us that you wish to withdraw from the purchase, without giving a reason. Legal exceptions can apply to certain categories of goods.

You can notify us by emailing gymcaresupp@gmail.com. You may use our Model Withdrawal Form, but you do not have to use the form if your message clearly states that you wish to withdraw.

After notifying us, you generally have a further 14 days to send the goods back.

Inspecting returned goods

You may inspect a product to the extent reasonably necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning, similar to what you could normally do in a physical shop. You may be responsible for a reduction in value caused by handling beyond what is necessary for that purpose. Original packaging is helpful but is not, by itself, a condition for exercising the statutory right of withdrawal.

Refund after withdrawal

Where the statutory withdrawal right applies, we refund the payments covered by the withdrawal, including the cost of our least expensive standard delivery option. Additional cost from choosing a more expensive delivery method does not have to be refunded.

The refund must be made without undue delay and generally no later than 14 days after we are informed of the withdrawal. We may withhold the refund until the goods are returned or you provide evidence that they have been sent back, whichever happens first.

You normally pay the direct return cost when withdrawing unless we have agreed to pay it or applicable law requires otherwise.

Faulty or non-conforming goods

For Danish consumer purchases, a two-year statutory right to complain about defects (reklamationsret) applies where the conditions of the Danish Sale of Goods Act are met. EU consumer rules also provide a minimum two-year legal guarantee for goods.

Depending on the circumstances, statutory remedies can include repair, replacement, a price reduction or refund. A short reporting request from a seller does not remove statutory defect rights.

Risk during delivery

For consumer orders where YourGymCare arranges delivery, the risk of loss or damage generally remains with the seller until you, or a person designated by you other than the carrier, receives the goods.

Complaints

Please contact us first at gymcaresupp@gmail.com so we can try to resolve the issue.

Eligible complaints against a Danish trader may be submitted through Mæglingsteamet for Forbrugerklager and, where applicable, Forbrugerklagenævnet via Nævnenes Hus. Eligibility rules and claim thresholds are set by the complaint body and may change.
